Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville

Client: HabiJax

Habitat for Humanity Jacksonville (HabiJax) is one of the largest non-profit affordable housing builders in Duval County and one of the most successful Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the United States.

HabiJax has partnered with the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) to provide life-changing homeownership opportunities to neighbors in need with Jacksonville’s first Tiny House community — Tiny Houses on Navaho. The rent will be based on income, but lower than fair market rent, and referrals for tenants will be from local social service agencies.

Our team provided in-kind planning, design, engineering, permitting, and construction administration services for this new affordable housing community.

The community construction is fully funded by the Delores Barr Weaver Tiny House Fund at the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. At completion, the community will include 50 units, each furnished, with just under 600-square-feet of living space.
