The Preservation Project Jacksonville

Client: City of Jacksonville

Conceived by former Jacksonville Mayor John Delaney, The Preservation Project Jacksonville was a land acquisition program to manage growth, protect environmentally sensitive lands, improve water quality, and provide access to the City’s natural areas.

In achieving this goal, our firm provided project management services and coordination of sub-consultants including grant writers, data base developers, architects, surveyors, environmental scientists, appraisers, public relations specialists, and landscape contractors. In addition, our team provided planning, design, engineering, and landscape architectural services for all the developed parcels within The Preservation Project Jacksonville.

Since the start of this project, our firm has successfully prepared 24 FCT grant applications resulting in $11 Million of reimbursements to the City of Jacksonville. As a unique feature to the Preservation Project, we established a wetland mitigation bank for Duval County. This mitigation bank ultimately leveraged an additional $18.5 Million of local funding.
