Jacksonville National Cemetery

Client: US Department of Veterans Affairs

The City of Jacksonville was selected by the Department of Veterans Affairs as the site for a new national cemetery, to be located north of downtown, near the Jacksonville International Airport.

Phase 1 of the 525-acre site will support up to 7,500 gravesites for casket interments, a 4,500 niche columbarium, and 500 in-ground sites for cremated remains, along with administration, visitor, and maintenance facilities. Included in our list of services was engineering the placement of thousands of pre-cast crypts and providing a landscape aesthetic congruent with a national shrine.

A multi-phased 100-year project build-out is anticipated which will provide for more than 100,000 burial sites.
