The Avenues Walk project is an 150-acre Regional Activity Center consisting of up to 800,000 square feet of commercial space located in a retail village center and a Retail Power Center. Also planned are two hotels, 50,000 square feet of office space and up to 1,050 residences. Phase 1 of this project is complete and includes a Super Wal-Mart, HH Gregg and boutique shops. As part of this Phase, ETM was responsible for the on-site design work, two rail crossings, and 3 miles of roadway improvements to Philips Highway (US-1). US-1 was upgraded from a 4-lane section to 6 lanes. Additionally, ETM managed the design effort of a 4-lane bridge over FEC Railway that provides access to the project. This bridge begins at US-1 and goes over the Florida East Coast Railway into the project.
ETM provided professional engineering services related to the offsite forcemain, civil engineering for the master lift station and miscellaneous site planning. ETM’s efforts for this project included, bid assistance, construction administration, surveying, master lift station design, permitting and site planning.
