Publix Bartram Market

Publix has bought the shopping center it anchors in Bartram Park, the second sale in recent days by the developers of the project.

Real Sub LLC, an affiliate of Publix Super Markets Inc., paid $27.1 million for the fully leased, 79,059-square-foot property at the border of St. Johns and Duval counties.

Other tenants in Bartram Market include Wawa, Wendy’s, Aspen Dental, Dunkin Donuts, AutoZone and Island Wing Co.

Ponte Vedra-based Eastland, who developed the 6,000-acre Bartram Park project, is retaining the 10 commercial outparcels for ground leases.

Eastland also recently sold almost 40 acres within Bartram Commons to a Jacksonville Beach development company that plans to build more than 1,000 multifamily units at the site.

Block One Ventures, an affiliate of Trevato Development Group, bought 38.93 acres within the development near the intersection of I-95 and State Road 9B on the north side of Race Track Road.

That development will be done in three phases, bringing 1,069 residential multifamily units to the area, which is adjacent to Durbin Park.
