ESRI held its annual Sotheastern US User Group Conference in Jacksonville April 14-16. Over 900 GIS professionals representing local state and federal government agencies, private industry, and utilities across the Southeast attended this year's conference. England-Thims and Miller as an ESRI Business Partner and Conference Sponsor exhibited and attended numerous technical sessions. The conference also provided many opportunities to share ideas, keep abreast of new product developments and visit with many existing and prospective clients. ESRI's Southeast Reguion User Conference continues to be the largest and fastest growing regional conference in the United States.
The Florida Chapter of the American Public Works Asscociation (APWA) held its annual chapter conference in Jacksonville April 28 - 30. ETM was very active at the conference with both formal presentations and site visits for active projects. Presentations included supplemental funding through grants and other sources, program management, park planning and development, growth management planning, capital improvement programs, and mitigation banking. The site visit was to Nocatee, which is a brand new community spanning areas in both St. Johns and Duval Counties.
